i.The short version

A Deep Breath does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Your reading progress stays on your device and in your private iCloud account.

ii.What data the app stores

The app stores a small record per bundled book — which book it is and the page you last read. That's all. This data lives in two places:

Your device. The app keeps a local copy so it works offline.
Your private iCloud account. If you are signed into iCloud, Apple syncs this tiny progress record across your devices. It's encrypted by Apple and accessible only to you. sthreelabs cannot read it.

iii.What the app does NOT collect

No analytics or usage tracking.
No session logs, no breath counts, no "days meditated."
No advertising identifiers.
No location, health data, microphone, or camera access.
No account registration. There is no A Deep Breath account or login.
No push notifications.

iv.Third-party services

The app uses only Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your reading progress. No other third-party services are used.

v.About the bundled books

The app ships with two public-domain texts, both embedded into the app at build time so they work entirely offline. Nothing is fetched over the network.

vi.Children's privacy

The app is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

vii.Deleting your data

To delete your data, delete the app from your device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, after deleting the app go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → A Deep Breath → Delete Data.

viii.Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any material way, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new policy will be posted on this page.
