i.The short version

A Spell of Work does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Your session history stays on your device and in your private iCloud account.

ii.What data the app stores

A Spell of Work stores the timestamp and duration of each completed work session. This data lives in two places:

Your device. The app keeps a local copy so it works offline.
Your private iCloud account. If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, Apple syncs your session history across your Apple devices. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you. sthreelabs (the developer) cannot read your data.

iii.What data the app does NOT collect

No analytics or usage tracking.
No crash reporting that includes personal data.
No advertising identifiers.
No location data.
No contacts, photos, or other device data.
No "what are you working on?" — the app has no task or project data at all.
No account registration. There is no A Spell of Work account or login.

iv.Third-party services

A Spell of Work uses only Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your session count across your devices. No other third-party services are used.

v.Notifications

The app requests permission to send one local notification — the completion chime when a timer ends. This permission is requested the first time you background the app with a running timer. You may deny it; the chime will still play if the app is in the foreground.

vi.Children's privacy

A Spell of Work is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

vii.Deleting your data

To delete your data, delete the A Spell of Work app from your device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, after deleting the app go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → A Spell of Work → Delete Data.

viii.Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any material way, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new policy will be posted on this page.
